Get from an email you need to answer to a reply draft you can review. Denker guides you through setup and AI connection, then helps you hand over a task from the work on your screen. Start with a small result you can use and build from there.

Step 1

Get Denker for your computer

Mac: Get Denker from the download page, install it, and open the app.

Windows: Download the Windows installer from the same download page, install it, and open Denker.

Sign in and follow the welcome guide

Create your account or sign in. Follow Denker’s on-screen guide through the permissions and controls for your computer. It explains how to open the input, talk to Denker, and mark part of your screen. Grant the permissions for the features you want to use; you can review them later in your system settings.

Step 3

Let Denker guide your AI setup

Choose Claude Code, Codex, or OpenCode. These are the AI tools Denker connects to so it can work on your tasks. If you already have one installed and connected, Denker can use it.

On Mac, Denker opens Terminal and prepares the official installation or sign-in command for you. Review it, press Enter when you are ready, and complete the provider’s sign-in. You do not have to find the commands yourself.

On Windows, Denker opens PowerShell and shows the installation or sign-in command. Review it, press Enter when you are ready, and complete the provider’s sign-in. Denker waits for setup and checks your connection. When an update is available for a supported installation, its update notice opens the same guided terminal and checks the new version when it finishes.

If you see Use included AI starter, you can begin with a limited AI allowance and connect your own provider when it ends. Provider subscription or usage charges are separate from your Denker plan. Some OpenCode providers require an API key; the setup guide tells you when one is needed.

Step 4

Hand off work that is already on your screen

For your first task, open an email you actually need to answer and keep it visible. Start with the work in front of you:

  1. Open Denker’s input using the shortcut shown in the welcome guide. By default, double-tap Control on Mac or press Win + Alt on Windows.
  2. With the input open, hold Shift and drag to mark the email you want Denker to use.
  3. Type what you want done with that email. For example:
“Draft a reply to this email confirming the next steps. Keep it as a draft for me to review.”

Review the draft and ask for any changes. When it is ready, you can ask Denker to put it into your reply window. Check it there before you send it.

You can try the same approach with a paragraph you want rewritten or a design detail you want explained. Show the relevant part of your screen and ask for a specific result. If a task needs information beyond that view, provide the source or connect the supported app it needs.

To write with your voice in any app, use Dictation anywhere. By default, double-tap Command on Mac or press Win + Shift on Windows, speak, then use the shortcut again. Denker pastes your words where your cursor is, or copies them so you can paste them yourself.

To include marked screenshots or choose a rewrite or translation finish, follow the dictation guide and prompt examples. Check the text and attachments in the destination before sending.

Common questions

Do I need to install an AI CLI before I start?

No. Open Denker and follow its setup guide. Denker opens Terminal on Mac or PowerShell on Windows and prepares installation and sign-in commands for you to confirm. It waits for setup and checks your connection. If an installed tool is already connected, you can use it directly.

Which AI tools can I connect?

Denker supports Claude Code, Codex (OpenAI), and OpenCode. An AI CLI is a tool that runs your AI agent on your computer. Choose one during setup and follow the connection instructions. Your provider’s subscription or usage charges are separate from your Denker plan; some OpenCode providers need an API key.

Can I try Denker before connecting my own AI?

If setup offers Use included AI starter, you can start with a limited AI allowance. Connect your own provider when that allowance ends. This is separate from the 14-day Denker Pro trial and does not include unlimited provider usage.

Can I use Denker on Windows?
