Projects
Keep a body of work together so each new request starts in the right place, with the relevant tasks and files nearby.
Summary
A website update or client engagement can span many requests. Projects give that work a recognizable home, with its tasks and workspace material together. Name the goal, select the project for each handoff and return to its latest results when you continue. For coding, project folders and session settings connect the work to the local files you intend to change.
Key points
- Give ongoing work a clear home. A project name and description make its purpose recognizable when you switch between assignments.
- Connect coding requests to the intended files. Project folders and coding settings help establish where an agent should work.
- Resume with the relevant context nearby. Review the active tasks and current sources before continuing a project that has changed.
Keep a website update together
Suppose you are updating a company website. Create one project for the update and describe the audience, site and intended change. Keep the FAQ draft, design requests and coding tasks there so you can follow the work as one effort.
Open Settings, then Projects and choose New project. Set its Name and Description, and select it when starting a related request. Its Taskboard gives you a place to see the next steps and return to earlier results.
Connect the project to the local site
For coding, open the project settings and choose Add folder. Select the local site folder, then open its entry to inspect Folder access. Use Grant access where offered and Check again after making a change.
The folder entry also offers Git and Dev server settings. In the project’s Coding section, Worktrees allows isolated checkouts; Start coding in offers Ask each time, This checkout and A new worktree. Choose the arrangement that fits the repository and your existing work.
- Create the project and describe the website update.
- Add the local site folder when coding needs it.
- Check folder access and configure the relevant coding settings.
- Select the project for related tasks and continue from their current results.
Return to the work with its decisions intact
When you resume, read the current tasks and tell Denker what has changed. If the audience or company details have changed, inspect the relevant Memory facts as well. The current brief and source documents keep the next request grounded.
When the project is finished, Archive project removes a non-Home project from the active list after confirmation. Remove folder detaches a folder from the project while keeping its files on your computer.
