The AEO SEO project: see where Google, Bing and AI answers find you

Denker sets it up, measures every Monday and suggests what to do next. You decide what happens.

Summary

The AEO SEO template is a Denker project that checks, every Monday, how your website shows up in Google, in Bing and in AI answers from ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI. You set it up by asking Denker in the chat. Denker builds the tables, a weekly report card and a content calendar, then waits until you say Start. Each week ends with up to three next steps, each with its evidence. Denker never sends, posts or publishes anything for you.

Key points

  • One project holds the whole picture: your company profile, the questions and keywords you track, competitors, pages, backlinks, a weekly report card and a content calendar.
  • Every Monday Denker measures Google and Bing and asks your questions in ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI, in your own browser, in each one's no-memory mode.
  • You stay in charge: nothing runs until you say Start, next steps wait on the board, and outreach waits in your Gmail drafts until you send it.

Does ChatGPT mention your business? Checking once is easy. Checking every week, next to your Google and Bing numbers, and turning the answer into work worth doing, is the part that slips. The AEO SEO template hands that routine to Denker. You describe your business once. Denker builds the project and runs the same checks every Monday.

What the AEO SEO template is

SEO is about where your pages rank in search engines. AEO, answer engine optimization, is about whether AI answers name you when someone asks a question in your category. Both change week to week, and both are easy to stop watching.

The AEO SEO template is a ready-made Denker project for that job. It keeps your search numbers, the AI answers and your next steps in one place, and it measures them the same way each week so the weeks compare.

To set it up, ask Denker in the chat, for example: “Set up an AEO SEO project for my website.” You can also pick it in Settings › Project templates.

What Denker asks during setup

Setup is a short conversation in the chat, not a form. Denker asks for your business, your website, your category, your audience, the terms you want to be known for, the markets you sell in and your competitors.

If you leave competitors blank, Denker researches candidates and shows where it found each one. They stay unconfirmed until you confirm them, so a guess never becomes a fact in your project.

What you get in the project

When setup finishes, the project already holds these parts. Every table starts from what you told Denker during setup.

How a week works

Every Monday Denker measures three places. Google: through Search Console, connected to Denker, or read in your browser where you are signed in. Bing: read in your browser, read-only, because there is no Bing connection. AI answers: Denker asks your questions in ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI in your own browser, in each one's no-memory mode, so your past chats do not color the answer.

The questions do not name your business, so the AI answer is not nudged toward you. Then the weekly checks run: track keywords, watch competitors, check backlinks, check page performance, and look for press and editorial openings.

Each check ends with up to three next steps, each with the evidence behind it. The report card ranks them. Each next step becomes a backlog task on the board, without duplicates, and it never starts on its own.

From next steps to drafts

Suggested topics wait on the calendar until you keep them. A topic you keep is drafted for your review. A topic you drop never runs.

For outreach, Denker writes the emails and saves them as drafts in your Gmail. You read them and send the ones you want yourself.

What stays in your hands

Nothing runs until you say Start. Next steps wait in the backlog, and none of them starts on its own. Competitor candidates stay unconfirmed until you confirm them.

Denker never sends, posts or publishes anything; drafts and emails wait for you. It asks the AI engines in no-memory mode and does not change your account settings.

Denker never invents a number. A value it could not measure is marked unavailable, with the reason.

How to start

Download Denker for Mac or Windows and ask in the chat: “Set up an AEO SEO project for my website.” Answer the setup questions, look through the project, and say Start when it looks right. From then on, Denker measures every Monday and fills the report card.

Frequently asked questions

What is AEO?

AEO stands for answer engine optimization. It is about whether AI answers, such as ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI, name your business when someone asks a question in your category. The AEO SEO template measures that each week next to your Google and Bing numbers.

Which AI engines does the template check?

ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI. Denker asks your questions in your own browser, in each one's no-memory mode, and does not change your account settings.

Do I need to connect Google Search Console or Bing?

For Google, you can connect Search Console to Denker, or Denker reads it in your browser where you are signed in. For Bing, Denker reads your data in your browser; there is no Bing connection.

Will Denker publish or send anything for me?

No. Drafts wait for your review, outreach emails wait in your Gmail drafts, and you send or publish them yourself. Next steps wait in the backlog until you start them.

What happens when a number cannot be measured?

Denker marks it unavailable and says why. It never fills the gap with a guess or a zero.

Can someone help me set it up?

Yes. Book a 1:1 setup call from this page and we set up the project with you.
